Ensuring Anonymity in Employee Surveys
Updated over a week ago

At Tellent, we take privacy and confidentiality seriously, especially when it comes to sensitive feedback like employee engagement surveys. One of the key features of our survey tool is the option for employees to respond anonymously. This page explains how we ensure technical anonymity for employees while maintaining useful insights for HR teams.

How do we ensure surveys are anonymous?

  1. Anonymous reports for HR

    • When surveys are set to anonymous mode, the aggregated survey reports available to HR teams will never display who participated. The report will simply show aggregated data (e.g., overall scores, trends, and group insights) without disclosing individual employee identities or individual responses.

    • HR teams cannot view or access specific answers tied to any employee, ensuring that all feedback remains confidential and is presented in a way that protects employees' privacy.

  2. Javelo's commitment to privacy

    • As a platform, we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of all users. Even if a company were to request that Javelo provide information about who gave certain responses, we cannot comply, as there is no record in our system that associates employee identities with their feedback.

    • This setup guarantees that employees can participate in surveys without fear of identification, promoting honest and open feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Q: Can HR see which employees answered the survey?

A: HR teams can see how many employees participated, who participated but they cannot see what answers a specific employee gave.

Q: If a survey is not anonymous, can HR see individual responses?

A: In non-anonymous surveys, responses are linked to specific employees, allowing HR teams to see individual feedback. However, if the survey is set to anonymous, all responses remain anonymous.

Q: What if employees are concerned about anonymity being compromised?

A: Employees can feel secure knowing that when a survey is designated as anonymous, there is no way for responses to be traced back to them. The system is designed to protect anonymity and ensure privacy at every level.
